While “When I See It” is more of a snippet, “Say You Will” is a reimagining featuring violinist Caroline Shaw. Shaw, along with being a member of the experimental vocal group Roomful of Teeth, is also the youngest-ever Pulitzer Prize winner for music.
Earlier this month, West and Shaw performed together at a Democratic fundraiser in San Francisco, an event where President Barack Obama was in attendance.
Both new songs are styled in the vein of West’s highly influential and culture shifting album 808 and Heartbreak. Whether they are glimpses into West’s future project is unclear. Check out both tracks here.
