Updated Sept. 13, 2016
Today, Sept. 13, 2016, on the 20 Anniversary of Tupac Shakur’s death, a new, more in depth, trailer for the upcoming Tupac biopic “All Eyez on Me” dropped and man does it deliver.
In the new clip we get to see more of Tupac, as well as guest spots from Danai Gurira as Pac’s mother Afeni Shakur and Jamal Woolard reprising his role as The Notorious B.I.G.
The tone of the movie also seems to be heavily inspired by 2015’s hit, “Straight Outta Compton.”

Today, June 16, a teaser for the Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez on Me” was released on what would have been the rapper’s 45th birthday.
Although hitting some stumbling blocks, the film looks like it’s powering forward. And it actually looks pretty good.
The dramatic teaser has an epic feel to it, presenting Tupac against a backdrop of the social and economic turmoil coloring the fabric of much of 1990’s urban black life.
Although it’s too early to tell, the teaser gives the feeling that “All Eyez” may be an extension of last year’s NWA biopic “Straight Outta Compton,” more so than the Notorious B.I.G.-centered film “Notorious.”
Check out the teaser trailer below, as well as some videos to further celebrate the life (rather than the death) of one of black music’s most important voices:
